Our technology platform is database driven and was developed utilizing the most up to date object oriented development environment. Our mobile technology infrastructure allows any one running Microsoft’s Mobile 5.0 computing application on a Smart Phone to access standard site data instantly, including:

  • Cases, pallets or items handled daily, weekly, quarterly
  • Invoices/billing by site, region or nation-wide
  • Performance data by week, quarter, year
  • Month over month comparisons in one or all categories
  • Driver’s signatures, check approval codes/amounts
  • Transactions by method of payment: check, cash, direct bill


The development platform allows our team to add data fields, customize reports by client and roll-out changes to the field in a few hours or days.

Mobile Hardware


After researching several Smart Phone options that were specifically ruggedized for a warehouse environment, we selected the Symbol M70 Smart Phone for both its large screen and easy to use keyboard.

Offering both Wi-Fi and cellular service built-in, the device allows our field personnel to capture and transmit data to our central server in real-time. This means that you can access and review up date to information even before our team leaves the site for the day.


Mobile Data Capture


On Time Freight has partnered with a software company who is a leading provider of mobile application development and deployment. Partnering with the company enabled us to create a database application that meets our exact requirements. The application can be customized in just a few hours to uniquely fit each client site, thus keeping down the total cost of ownership.


Automated Direct Billing


Our direct billing invoices are generated automatically on a weekly basis. The data comes directly from our mobile platform and into our accounting system. We are able to bill on a scheduled basis or our clients are able to log into our system via the Internet to review the data at their convenience.


We utilize direct billing for both our clients and the carriers whose trucks we unload. We work out all the details with the carriers and our clients do not bear any burden.


Workforce Optimization


Our site supervisors are responsible for having employees log in and log out during the day. The time and attendance data is transmitted to our central database server once per day. Customized business rules allow us to run automated comparisons on critical profitability factors including:

Gross revenue vs. labor hours week-over-week

Increased labor hours or revenue by site, region or nation-wide

Price comparisons by site, by region

Employee incentive bonuses by site, month over month


This type of automated analysis allows our management team to keep a pulse on the field operations and offer pricing cuts or rebates when the data shows we are able. That means good news for our customers.


On-line Client Access


Effective February 1, 2007, our clients will have the ability to access data that is specific to their site(s). By using a unique user name and password, an authorized representative at your site will be able to run reports and access detailed data. Data access of this nature allows you to better understand your logistic service fees and how they impact your business.
